The Preserve Has Been Preserved
By Art McCafferty

Times have been tough for some of the new golf courses that have come online in the past few years. The economic downturn caught many of these courses looking around for scarce players.

The Preserve, an Arnold Palmer design, has been taken over by the TCF Bank. They have brought on a new management team, completed work on the clubhouse and grounds and are aggressively marketing the course to the golfing public. Ken Kapcia, the new general manager, is looking forward to the challenge. Arnold Palmer has designed a terrific course at the Preserve and we want people to know that," said Kapcia. On the right is a photo of the par-three, 14th hole. The Preserve has a collection of outstanding par-three's and a classic finishing hole in the 18th. It is well worth the stop.

The Preserve, located in Livingston County just outside of Fenton, can be reached at (810) 714-3206; or check out their Website at http://thepreserve.org. MG
