Kathleen White Takes Over Marsh Ridge

Jack Bott, owner of Marsh Ridge and Fenton Farms, has turned over the resort to his daughter, Kathleen White. In addition, Dick Emaus, long time GM of the resort will be stepping down, as Ted Bott takes the helm as of November 27, 2000.

Marsh Ridge has long been one of the great Michigan resorts. Mike Husby designed and was building the course for a number of investors. He took Mr. Bott for a ride on the course one day in an attempt to interest Mr. Bott in Marsh Ridge (the working title of the course then was Headwaters) After surveying the course, Mr. Bott indicated that he was interested in not only being an investor, but the sole owner. As Mike Husby said, "Mr. Bott made an offer the group could not refuse."

Jack and Ellie Bott, are dividing their time amongst their three homes in Grosse Point, Key Largo and their 1200 acre hunting spread in Gaylord. The couple are scaling back some more of their management activities.
