Canadian Tour Comes to Wild Bluff

Wild Bluff Golf Course and Bay Mills Casino and Resort have achieved state and Midwest stardom and are now on the fast tract to national recognition. The course has received its share of acclaim since it opened just a few years ago. Now, however, it will come under the national spotlight that other Michigan courses have enjoyed in the past. Oakland Hills CC, Boyne's Bay Habor, Treetops Threetops, Grand Traverse Resort's The Bear, Egypt Valley and Walnut Hills have all held tournaments that started with the words, "Lights, Camera, Action.

Wild Bluff will achieve this exposure with the tapes highlights that the Golf Channel will provide of the Bay Mills Open-Canadian Tour. According to Mike Husby, Director of Tournament and the Director of Golf at Wild Bluff, the Golf Channel will televise up to two hours on the tournament. The Tournament will also have same day coverage on the Internet, all of which will be able to be seen on http://baymillsopen.com

There are still a number of arrangements to be made, including acquiring additional sponsorships. Husby and his assistant, Judy Mason, have been working the phones and email just about day and night.

For those readers and golfers who have never seen this spectacular Michigan beauty, you need only go to http://michigangolfer.tv and click on to the Wild Bluff Show. Here you will see host, Bill Shelton take a tour of the course with architect Mike Husby.
