The Timbers, Frankenmuth's newest golf attraction, is a championship, par 72, daily fee, resort style golf course reflecting the best of Northern Michigan woodlands. The names says it all...a variety of hardwoods, abundant wetlands, mounded open areas, ponds, and native wildlife...this is The Timbers. The tranquility and unique challenge of golfing Michigan's north country are what you'll discover at The Timbers; and all just four miles east of Frankenmuth and nine miles from the Birch Run Outlet Mall.

and south of Ormes (Jefferson)

Directions

From Detroit: I-75 North. Exit 136 Birch Run/Frankenmuth. Turn right off the ramp and travel east bound on Birch Run Road. 4 miles at the blinking red light turn left on Bray Road. Travel 5 miles north. The Golf Club entrance is on the left.

From Toledo: I-23 North to I-75/23 then follow directions from Detroit.

From Flint: Take local highways to I-75 North then follow directions from Detroit.

From Saginaw and North: Take local highways to I-75 South. Exit 144 Bridgeport/Frankenmuth. Turn left off the ramp and follow Dixie Highway south 2.7 miles. Turn left on Curtis Road and follow through the town of Frankenmuth 4 miles. Turn right at stop sign Bray Road. The Golf Club entrance is on the right.

The Timbers club house

The 6000 square foot club house was designed with a "Bavarian motif". Browse the golf pro shop or relax in the restaurant/bar. Two thousand square feet of decking offers a panoramic view of the 1st, 3rd and 18th holes. The lower level has seating for 150 guests for outings, meetings or seminars; with additional seating on the 30'x58' outdoor patio.

A Full practice range included spacious bent gross driving areas, laser measured yardage and rubber matted tee stations.

Memberships

The Timbers is encouraging a limited number of individual family, junior and corporate memberships. New this year is a teachers' membership.

THE TIMBERS IS GOING TO SOFT SPIKES

Please help make a difference in the putting quality of our greens. Wear soft spikes or some approve "greens friendly", spikeless golf shoes.

The Timbers will be joining thousands of other fine golf facilities in requiring a players in 1998 to wear soft spikes. For your convenience, we will have spike changing station in the bag drop area. Please inform your fellow players about wearing soft spikes, so we can all enjoy the best possible putting greens.
